Brownie Delight

I take this cake to almost every covered dish dinner and everyone always loves it.  I cut it into about 35 pieces and put it on Mama Flake’s (James’ grandmother) Sunday night dish. Ice with Brownie Delight Icing recipe.

  • 1/4 c cocoa
  • 1/2 c oil
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1/2 c buttermilk
  • 1 tsp soda

  • 1 c water
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla

    Instructions

    Use 11x15 cookie pan for this recipe
    1. Mix water, cocoa, then add margarine and oil.
    2. Boil and pour over flour, sugar, and salt.
    3. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla and mix.
    4. Pour into a greased and floured 11 x 15 cookie pan.
    5. Bake 15-20 minutes at 400 degrees.
    6. Ice with Brownie Delight Icing.
