Our farm is available for a select number of group tours. Please contact the owner, James Lee Adams, Jr. at 229-336-8298 or james@jlafarm.com You may also contact our daughter, Vicki at 229-336-8958.. We have the following suggested tour packages: Pecan Harvest (November - early January)-People are enthralled at how pecans are harvested - from seeing the shakers work to picking up their own pecans in their own JLA Farms bucket, our guests often watch in wonder and walk the groves for hours. Tours are provided by James Lee, one of the most decorated farmers in the country. (He would never say that himself, but I am his daughter! - V) After seeing the harvest, guests are taken to our rustic indoor/outdoor recreation facility, lovingly called “The Shed” which will hold over 100 diners. With freshly prepared southern fare in our commercial kitchen, they are delighted by our fresh vegetables and of course, our famous pecan pie. After lunch or dinner, they can stroll through our nature trails and around our catfish pond. If you’re around at 7 pm, you can even feed the catfish. Price will include tour, lunch, one full bucket of pecans you pick up. Group rates available for tour buses. Alligator Farm tour can be added. Cotton Pickin’ TimeYou’ll have a cotton pickin’ good time at cottin pickin’ time around our farm. We’ll take you to fields white with cotton at various stages. Even though cotten is harvested mechanically, you can still pick some in your keepsake size container. Tours are also provided by James Lee Adams. This tour includes lunch, a keepsake size container of boiled peanuts, catfish feeding, and trail walking. Alligator Farm tour can be added.
